Following the lockdown due to COVID-19, Dandy Gent boss Shane O’Shaughnessy has announced that all three shops will open for additional days and hours to get clients ‘back to their best’ as soon as possible.
Each of the 11 Dandy barbers will consider additional times they are able to work for more hours than usual to tackle outgrown hair – as well as the inevitable deluge of ‘DIY rescues’ on the hair and whiskers of frustrated isolators.
The times and days will vary, shop to shop, with Irongate, Derby and Nottingham shops pledging Sunday opening for at least the first month back.
“We are still unsure of when we can get back to our core business, of course,” said owner and founder of The Dandy Gent, Shane. “But when we do return it will be with additional infection control measures as needed – and for additional hours of business wherever we possibly can.”
New opening times and additional barber days will be released at the time of the re-opening announcement, with the three shops’ booking App currently set to re-take bookings on 1st June. This date is not fixed, but subject to further restriction announcements from our Government in the coming days and weeks.
The Dandy Gent’s online shop remains open for business as usual, offering an extensive range of handmade traditional grooming products and accessories to help keep locks conditioned and prepped for their first post-lockdown appointment.
